Greens staff have concentrated their efforts this past week on a programme of aeration for the greens due to the recent heavy rainfall.
Using a 6mm solid tine to combat and relieve compaction, thatch levels to allow tge greens to breathe. This also helps the anaerobic health of the greens and improves drainage thereby allowing the water to penetrate the surface quicker.
Aeration work has started on the tees using 13mm solid tines to help in the same ways as described for the greens.
